Re: Meg's blog « Reply #30 Posted: 15 May 2006 at 08:10 PM »

Today is the kind of day you would like to find a way to keep!In the mid 70's and sunny and just beautiful.By the end of the week we will be in the 90's so we might as well enjoy today and tomorrow.
Hoping to hear from Eunice and Bob sometime this week and get to see them and their new R.V.out at the Fam/Camp on base.
Just went grocery shopping instead of early tomorrow as usual.Someone remind me never to go shopping on base in the lunch hour!!!The Commissary was crowded and the traffice was awful!Still I got quite a few bargains(stuff at very good sale prices)also strawberries cheap compared to what they have been-so strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight and tomorrow night!!!
Now off to run a few errands then will make a cuppa and sit on the patio and enjoy this beautiful Oklahoma weather.

Another beautiful day here in the Heartland of America.I just cleaned all the ceiling fans and A/C vents and now Bob is outside taking the screens off the windows to wash and then he will clean the outside of the storm windows while I tackle the inside. They fold in for easy cleaning but Bob always gets the outside ones for me now he is retired. We wanted to get them done before the 90'sF that will be here in a couple of days. Then I need to defrost the big freezer in the utility room-wish it was self de-frosting like the regular refrigerator but still it doesn't take long to do.So hi ho.hi ho as off to work I go!!!

Bob and Terry have gone bowling on base as usual on a Wednesday afternoon.I just made two meat pies since this is the last day in the 80's before th90-100F are here in the next few days!I hate to use my oven when it is so hot and mostly cook in the crockpot or barbecue.I will send one pie home with Terry and put the other in the freezer .
A 24 hour Super Wal-Mart opened in Del City today- good for revenue in taxes for Del City but what  a lot of traffic on Sooner road when I came home from some errands!!!I don't particularly like Wal-Mart so it will be a long time before I go there to shop!!They have a huge parking lot and it was completley full with people driving around to find a place to park!Makes me laugh as if you have seen one 24hr Super Wal-Mart you have seen them all!!!
