Meg
I've never found eating to much Green leafy stuff make a lot of difference, at the moment I'm eating lots of water cress as it's been really good, I'll find out tomorrow if that has had any effect, I hope not because it's been 5 weeks since my last blood check, with a bit of luck it may go back to 3 months.  Smiley

Ray, I do eat some dark green leafy vegetables at times as I love broccolli and sprouts.I hate dark green lettuce though so I don't eat it in any salads-I always pick that out and I pick out purple cabbage too(why do they puit that in salads)as I hate that too!!I go once every two months for my check and have to go again at the end of this month.I take Coumadin for an irregular heartbeat.

The humidity is so oppressive here today.I went grocery shopping this morning as I do every Tuesday.I go early so I get back before the Commissary gets crowded. My friend Betty shops every Tuesday too so we always catch up with what's going on each other's lives. She is 83 and a cancer survivor .She is so petite and I keep telling her one of these days the strong Oklahoma winds will blow her away!
After I fixed lunch I read my latest book for a while and then teakwood oiled my Danish wall unit. I guess I will read again after supper as there is nothing on TV to interest me.I am not a big TV watcher anyway-that's Bob!!

It went OK I haven't got to go for 6 weeks now, I do get a bit fed up tripping there every week as I sometimes have to, but there you go it's for my own good.  Smiley

I know what you mean.I used to have to go once a month and that got old but now I get to go every two months. My doctor's office only has the blood tests twice a week 1-4pm.The surgery is always crowded so I have to be sure and get there early.I used to have to give blood from my arm but now they just prick a finger and the results are ready in a minute-much faster and easier.

Today I am going to the Farmer's market for some Yukon gold potatoes. The Shepherd's pie I made with them a few days ago was so delicious. Then Bob and I will go out for lunch at Furr's cafeteria. This afternoon Terry & Bob will go bowling at the base bowling alley and I will just relax and read.
