LOGOS - The History of Lowestoft Online
« Posted: 29 December 2011 at 06:07 PM »
Looking through my picture folders on my PC I came across these old logos. Thought it may be nice to have them displayed here as some sort of reminder of how this website has changed over the years.
The website itself started off based at
www.lowestoft.net
, operated by Chris Osbourne. This was originally a Lowestoft information portal - the forum came later.
The first set of pictures show the logos used by this website; I am unsure as to what order they came in.

The second set of logos are like an 'inbetween' stage. Again, I am unsure as to which actual website used them.

This last set chronicle the varying logos used at Lowestoft Online. The website was originally meant to be a local business portal selling advertising space to Lowestoft businesses, but when Chris decided to close Lowestoft.NET then Darren kindly decided to add a community forum to his own website to keep the spirit of Lowestoft alive.

If anyone has any history or images from the early days, I am sure this would be much appreciated!

Didn't Tony Furlong-Osborn start it all off before Chris Osbourne came along?

Possibly, that was way before I came along in 2003.

Nice to see the Triangle Market as I remember it. We always used to call it "The Plain" Don't know why. When I first started to get my own haircut I used to go to John Gall which would be just about where that poic was taken from.

I think that perhaps " The Plain" stems from St Margarets Plain which is around there somewhere.

We used to call it The Plain as well frankiesays, when I first heard of the Triangle I was surprised, I guess Meryl is right that it alluded to St Margaret`s Plain.
