Some cats seen in Kessingland (AfricaAlive) yesterday. Cheetah cubs who are still a bit wary of the public and a rather large male lion who cannot grow a mane because he was castrated as a young cub.

The fox Eileen had found himself a little 'suntrap' and was enjoying the winter sunshine. Another picture of one of the cheetah cubs with mum in the background.

St Mary's church at Somerleyton have their Christmas Tree Festival this weekend and although I have a first class degree in 'Bah Humbugness' I thought I would go and have a look…it was worth the visit some nice decorated trees and I also managed to purchase a home made Christmas Pudding…wonder if there will be any silver coins within

Mel: I didn't realise that your first name is actually Ebeneezer!
Great pictures of the trees in the Church. Hope you find a silver coin in the Christmas Pud - but I thought 'Elf & Safety' would have stopped that!
Loved the wildife pix, Mel - especially the Cheetah ones - must drag myself over there next time we get a sunny day - there's hope yet!

As I used the word “building” - it was to encompass the whole of Cathedral, and that was the context it was written in - not any specific part.

It's one of my favourites too Trigger. I was in Manchester yesterday and walked past their cathedral - very disappointing, I thought it was just a church. I had higher expectations for a place the size of manchester.

Who says winter is just around the corner - It's already here for some of us. No snow here this morning but on a trip to Glasgow today it was only 15 miles up the road.

Now I know you go
really
fast, if 70 mph is classed as going 'slowly'

All the pics were taken without looking at the camera and was less distracting than turning the radio up. it was too nice to drive at the speed limit and I had lots of time to spare but by the time I'd clocked 100 miles or so I returned to the speed limit. I don't think I'm under oath and I may have to admit that my passenger took them.

'M'lud of course everyone knows taking photos while driving at 70mph is no more dangerous than turning the radio on' wonder if that would hold up in court Frankie

After many attempts, not to mention a few headaches, at a process called 'Layers' I have my first success. The little lad is my step grandson, Fletcher, and before anyone says it, no he wasn't trying to get away from me.

That looks excellent. I have to admit to feeling a wee bit envious; I have wanted for a long time to learn how to create images like this, but unfortunately lack the staying power to work on layers. Everytime I try I get frustrated!

It took me a long while to get stuck into layers, JollyJapes, like you I kept giving up. One of the reasons was that the tutorials that came with Paintshop Pro X4 were not easy to follow, for me anyway. I had a look on YouTube and found many videos that helped me to understand the basics and that encouraged me to keep going. I don't know what program you use but if it's the same as mine here are a few links.
http://www.youtube.com/user/LeviFiction?feature=watch
http://www.michelespaintshop.com/paint-shop-pro-layers.php
If you use another program just go to YouTube and type in the details and there are loads of videos that help. As they say, a picture paints a thousand words. Just typing your details into Google brings up a great deal of sites that help. Once you have your first success it's hard to stop, give it a go.

I wrote it all down on a piece of paper, Mel. Now, where did I put the paper?
