As discussed on another topic i though it should have one to its self.
My first car was a 1955 Standard Ten Deluxe that means it had a sun roof and a boot lid, i bought it in 1967 for £40. Lower models accesed the boot via the rear seat.
I never owned an Allegro but did own two Marina s at different times.

Apart from a 1956 Morris Minor 1000 which I was given (unroadworthy) in about 1967 and which I sold in the same condition, my first roadworthy car was a 1966 Riley Kestrel 1100. I went for luxury

A chap I worked with back in the 60's had a Herald soft top which he used to lend me as he didn't have a full license (I used to accompany him when he was learning). Had some good fun in that car.

In the early days i thought it was normal to see the road below, until i bought the Simca. rear engined car that had been in an accident before i got it. Bo holes in floor so the water level rose untill it gushed out of the doors.. This car had no power and a faulty rear suspension. Anyone sitting in the back would crash their head against the roof at anything bigger than a small bump in the road.

My first (yes first) Apprenticeship was with the Roots Group which were then taken over by Chrysler then they by Peugeot Talbot Citroen and I hated working on ANY Simca When one was driven into the workshop we wouldn't know if it was a quiet diesel or a noisy petrol engined version until we looked.
Owned a Citroen 1220 GS Club (two actually) great car but rubbish suspension as it cost a fortune to have put right and you needed it to be right so it could jack it's self up when you had a puncture, never got used to only having three wheel nuts.

My last car was Peugeot 406 2.2 diesel. It had 40,000 on the clock when i got it. 173,000 now. Poor thing is now laying dead on the drive. From the Simca i went to a brand new Mini Clubman bought in 1971. More of that later.

Bob and I both own Buick Centurys ,mine is 2002 and dark bronze mist and Bob's is 2003 silver.I have thought about getting a newer car but I like the shift on the steering wheel(both cars are automatic) and now they put it in between the front seats which takes up more room.

I will not be naming all my cars but the first one was a 1939 Morris eight series e., one of the first cars to have hydraulic brakes. The battery was flat when I bought it and I used to start it with the starting handle. I still had the same battery on when I sold it two years later & still cranking. One other thing the engine was held in place with a G clamp & a piece of angle iron because the chassis had rotted through, there was no Mot's in those days.

In the latter part of the fifties I was repairing car bodywork & chassis to earn extra money, and I often did work for Harry critoph on long road, Builder/garage/dealer etc you name it. He was the nicest of guys a loveable rouge type but he was the sort of chap who might rob his own grandmother. Well in his garage he used to have a few mattresses on the floor and we would roll customers cars over on to the side & roof to get to repair the floor or chassis. It was done much better than he previously did it he would fill the chassis up with chickenmesh wire & fill it with concrete, under seal it & job done.
It's changed a bit since then.
