Sausages
« Posted: 11 November 2011 at 06:21 PM »
The butcher where I always get sausages, etc is closed due to ill-health and I have no idea how long this will last. Do any of you know a butcher that makes decent sausages in Lowestoft please?

They say the dog is man's best friend. I don't believe it - how many of your friends would you neuter?

I always thought Longworths was a good butcher, they supply the football club with meat for hot dogs and burgers and I have no complaints!

I would suggest Longworth in the High Street. I go there and always get good meat, service and advice.

Norwich Road, not sure of his name,. although I have heard his wife is unwell and he did close for a while but re opened, she makes the best meat pies on the planet, has he closed again East Point? if so then Longworths is my 2nd choice, the one on Gorleston Road is much friendlier.

Hollingsworth road! Most British butchers make good sausages & we all get used to the ones that we always trade with. Pork & onions are my favourite but I will settle for any.

I used to make the sausages at Frank Cooks in Bevan Street for a while, I have to say they were superb. No pigs brains in my sausages!!

I don't know who puts pigs brains in sausages. Semi-Lean or Lean Head meat, maybe.
