Cant tell you what Mortons bar is like I had a weekday carvery on the prom  a few weeks ago with a friend at the Hatfield and it was awful, only two choices  of meat, reheated roast potatoes that tasted like cardboard and only luke warm. It was only a fiver but would have rather paid more for some decent food. The Eton mess afters was awful too very sweet tinned strawberries with a bit of crushed merengue and some synthetic cream, to be honest I d have rather had a McDonalds.

They also have NO facilities for anyone elderly or disabled eating there, as there are steps everywhere with no alternative,- when I queried this I got a shugged shoulders answer of well thats how it is sorry  So afraid I wont be eating there again

Just been trying to work out where to go for a lunchtime meal with a friend I mentioned not the Hatfield as I had a bad eating experience there and she absolutely mirrored my opinion as she had eaten there a few weeks ago and thought it really bad Hope its better if you do go there Vinny

Try the harbour. Some good deals and good food. Has had a bit of a change and a more updated feel.

I love good food and i don't mind paying for it as long as there is a linen table cover and the table is set properly, now that is what i call going for dinner.

Hi there my other half went to mortons on saturday and loved it. The food was well cooked and there was at times too much to eat and the service was superb. She did mention for elderly or disabled it might be a problem due to steps etc but overall she loved her meal and will go again she could not stop going on about it so it must have been nice. So she is a happy bunny but i guess it comes down to own tastes. Maybe i will give it a go sometime.

Hi Vinny it might be very different in the actually restaurant to the cheap carvery thats all I can guess because I ve come across a few people now saying the carvery was bad, not just me - also I m not a really fussy person so wasnt looking for cordon bleu

But anyway its great that your partner enjoyed it and all went well

The fact that no one with a mobility problems can use the hotel is awful there are steps and stairs everywhere including 8 to get into the front door how they can get away with that discrimination I cant imagine
