I am due to go into JPH first thing Monday and so with that as a kick start I will be taking some time away from Lowestonline.
I have become a little less enthralled with the site since so many links and cup n paste postings have become the norm.
To troll through so many each time to see if there is any interest to me has become a task which I find tedious.
.
I take this opportunity to thank all who have made my time here enjoyable I have viewed many images which are truly eye catching, I have read many stories which bring memories or deep thoughts.

I may look in as a guest from time to time though it may not be that often.

I hope that your hospital visit will helpful to you . Sorry that you feel as you do about the site perhaps you will change your mind and remain a member as it will be a shame to lose you from the discussions that you have been active in. Best Wishes.

I can only agree with Meryl s comments Richard. I have always enjoyed reading your posts. They are special for me as i always wanted to go to sea. Bit late for me now Smiley

nikkai - i hope that everything goes well for you.

I sincerely hope that you are only taking a break from LoL - and will visit occasionally - as “you” and not as “a guest”!  Forums like these are, of course, made by a variety of people - and the content "style" changes over a period of time.   And don’t forget that you have made over 2000 posts!

Richard first good luck at JPH I do hope its not serious and all will be well please keep in touch it would be such a shame to lose your friendship and posts

I too agree with you about the links/cut and pastes, it has gone way over the top and changed the site for the worst I think we have lost the art of natural conversation in the 'need' to prove every thing which then makes it like a university project, so you arent alone there

Please reconsidered staying with us when you feel better,  we need lovely posters like you and you never know we may even  be able to keep you company if youre bored in JPH
