Is Sgt. Peppers still there? It was originally opeened by some neighbours of mine in the early 80's I think.

It was started by a lady called Marie and her partner as I recall. I lived opposite her for a while, she was a singer. Don't know if they sold it on or not?

It is owned by Mike Power - as is the Blue Boar at Oulton.

You'll be pleased to know that We had a really enjoyable evening at the Red Herring. Lovely atmosphere superb food would definately go again.
