Thanks for the advice Paul - will not go into "panic mood" if the message appears again! Iremember that soon after installing Windows7 (commercial copy!) I had a message flash up that I was running a "non-genuine" copy! A few months later it appeared again - so phoned MS. The call took just over 40 minutes - and outcome was: 1) I have a genuine copy (I told them that!); but they had no idea why the message was appearing.

My wife called me when I was away saying we had a virus because it kept calling her names. It turned out it wasn't saying she WAS an invalid, but that her name was inVALID! Not the same thing at all. Paul

If your system seems to be a little slow have you tried
In the search box type
msconfig press enter then allow the program to run
Select boot then advanced options check to see how many processors you have and select to use the highest number then select to use the maximum amount of memory then select OK and then apply
Select start up
go through the list and stop any program you do not use often or even all that you seldom use select apply again and then exit
You will be required to reboot and your system will run faster and smoother.
Just a little tip that may help a little

I always encounter slow running or memory issues when my virus scanner is doing a background scan. I had issues with this site last night though at around midnight - had to give up in the end. It was a MySQL issue.
