ERROR re. live mail

every now and then and it can last for days I get this error message in Live Mail 0x800ccc90. It tells me that the wrong password and user name is being used [NOT] and it just won't let me in to send or receive. Help please.

Try generating a new password this sometimes works, if not, have you recently changed anti-virus or updated it? Anti-virus or firewalls can sometimes block emails and will need tweaking.
Try password change first.
Try logging onto the web mail page and check if you can see the emails
Try tweaking Anti-Virus, see if email will download with it turned off, if it does then you know it is the AV at fault.

I have had this problem on and off for months. I changed my password last time and was able to access the mail through TT website, this time I cant even do that. I have found how to turn off the AV but that hasn't worked either. Thank you for your time b-j

TT have just told me that there is a network problem and to allow 24 hours to get it fixed.
