Tesco's new store in Southwold will be open soon, do you think it is good for the town?

Aren't they just taking the place of Co-op, which took the place of Somerfields? No big deal.

Somerfield and Coop are expensive compared to Tesco. Especially Coop.

But does every town have to have a Tesco?, were the people of Southwold crying out for one? What harm will be done to the independant butchers and bakers and candelstick makers?

Somerfield and Coop are expensive compared to Tesco. Especially Coop.

I would shop at Co-oP but not a Tesco as we (wife daughter and myself) have found that the "fresh produce" *fruit* mainly turns off in only a few days where as that from Co-oP lasts a lot longer.

There is a Tesco in town then the large one out on the A12 to Yarmouth and then the Tesco express
I also found that the bread was dull in taste.

I think 728 was just making the point that there's three here compared with one in Southwold.

Perhaps you need one of the Penny-farthings in Trigger's news item, FC.   Grin
