is that old houseboat still there? There used to be a pair of them, if they are the ones I'm thinking of they must have been there over 40 years?

Here's an interesting bit of info about Richardson's of Stalham, they had a cruiser fleet based in Stalham but I didn't realise they were originally from Oulton Broad? makes interesting reading. http://www.richardsonsgroup.net/about.aspx

Another sinking on Lake Lothing.
This is the second time that 'Ayesha' has sunk. This time, it looks less likely to be renovated.
It is much bigger than it looks in the photos.
First it was 'Ayesha', then 'Nadir' and now 'Ayesha' again.
There's a story that it once belonged to Norman Wisdom, but I have never been able to authenticate this.
When it arrived in Oulton Broad from Brighton a few years ago, the lady owner told me that the towing tug had pulled all the cleats from the bows of the boat and then lost it on a sandbank. The lifeboat recovered it and brought it in with a rope around the wheelhouse, as there was nothing left to tow with.

At least all the "freeboard" boards will have tightened up now. They can just pull her upright at low tide and pump her out. She'll be right as rain but will smell like a skunk's armpit inside.
