Lowestoft last week (and pakefield).The amount of sand south of Claremont pier was a surprise as was the lack of sand the other side ,Pakr field beach is huge compare to what I remember .

Yes I did ,the town centre was bit of a shock, looks so bare now the flower beds have gone and the amount of shops and business that have vanished or changed completely .Did n't think the station look too bad but Tuttles is a real eyesore.
Was glad to see Gibbs fish & chip are still there ,bought some and ate them on the sea front .............lovely.

Looks like you are having some late summer sunshine there Kerch.
Cloud stopped us seeing the summits of these mountains in the Italian Dolomites, and I didn't fancy going any higher as I only had sandals on (minus socks of course  )...I was wearing other clothes as well as the sandals by the way

whereabouts is that Kerch? I had a two week holiday in France this year and a few days on business in Paris. I'd love to retire there, especially in the area where your photos are taken -a bit more south?

Yes I'm further south ,Villeneuve -les- Beziers and the Canal du Midi flows through the centre of the village.The village large and the center is very old plenty of new housing on the outskirts .Have a look on google earth for a better idea of where I am .

Thanks Kerch I will, it looks lovely. I'm off to further shores this weekend - have to spend a week in Moscow - don't think I'll see many ships there though.

Should be an interesting week .Hope you have time to take photos I've brought it with me but it was dark when I arrived at 8pm and we are three hours ahead of you. Traffic is diabolical. I'm hoping we will get a chance to go to Red Square before the end of the week. It is very dark and sinister here though as soon as you tune off the manin road - even in the centre.

Now that does make me homesick Trigger. I used to virtually live on the Broad when I was a kid, fishing as much as posible, hiring sailing boats from Knights Creek, rowing round the broad all summer. Lovely place
