How to make the text larger - just press Ctrl and move the mouse scroller about a bit and it alters the text OR press Ctrl and +, that does it too.

How exciting!!  Grin   Proves that it's worth trying different things out on the computer - and you never know what you might discover!  Wink

If you want to make the text large - and don't want to use the mouse - press and hold 'Ctrl' and press "+" and the text gets bigger - do the same and press "-" and the text gets smaller!  Isn't technology wonderful!  wave

At the bottom of my computer screen I have  a "change zoom level" that changes the font size.

Me too Meg. I can just about make out what is written at 75% but anything under that is undecipherable...I stick at 100%

That is in Internet Explorer, Meg.  Other browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome and Apple Safari) don't have it on view, you have to locate the zoom facility in one of the menus.

or you cpuld just go into the computer where says accetibility(sorry spelling) listed with tasks and it got all sorts of stuff including magnify

this computer has had such verbal abuse from me just as well can not answer me back.it can take up to 20mins to get onto internet but it gets there eventually.have they started the next version after windows 7 yet

SD stick with what you have until ALL the silly bits are ironed out of any new OS
Windows 8 will be much like W7 or Vista or XP or all the others = put out before it is fully sorted out and then you'll spend loads of time downloading updates and fixes

i go on the theary if it aint broke dont mend it so to speak.this one still do the job i want it to,but sadly it is broke.i still got my stuck cd in it. tried get it out so pysking myself up to take housing off it.LEEroy Green i miss hearing him.i got two computers and as my girl plays with this one i only got myself to blame
