Depending what outputs are on the laptop it should be possible to connect it to the TV with the appropriate leads. My laptop for instance has an HDMI output so I can connect it through the HDMI input on the TV with a normal HDMI to HDMI cable. Otherwise a cable that coverts the laptop's output to possibly a SCART input to the TV would be suitable. It may also be necessary to switch the laptop's video output from the laptop's screen to an external screen (in this case the TV). This will normally be a keypad function which should be given in the laptop's manual.
I expect this may all sound confusing and it can be. In fact I also have to change my digital sound output to send the sound through the HDMI cable to the TV rather than to the laptop's built-in speakers.
Best of luck.
