Trigger, 10meg dl?! in Lowestoft?? What ISP? ;o

Shocked Plusnet.... Business?

Nope - ordinary @ around £6.50 a month - check their website - think there's a higher speed available (with less cutting back) - but you pay more!  BUT it was on a day when the wind was blowing in the right direction - think that's the highest I've seen it.  Normally it's around 5 - 6 meg - but it fluctuates.  Their "Speed up to" figure - 8Mbs is due to be increased to 20Mbs in the next few weeks - hopefully, I'll see an increase at this end!

Mine is only 1.82 - don't understand that?  Mine doesn't look the same as you have put up, doesn't say Speedtest.Net.

If you try it later - you will probably get a different figure - probably higher.  It's basically to do with the distance you are from the exchange - and someone lives at the top of a hill it probably runs slower!!
Your ISP states something like "Speeds up to 8Mbs" - the important words are "Up to"!

Don't be , it varies, a few minutes ago I did a test using a different speed site and it read 2232kbps. It changed within seconds.

Or it can be caused by too many tabs open or too much junk on the computer I think - probably my own fault.
