Reliable scaffolding firm needed.
« Posted: 13 August 2011 at 04:29 PM »
After being messed about time and time again I need a scaffold erector who will actually put scaffolding up rather than just keep supplying excuses why he can't.
Could anyone recommend someone please?.

Friends of mine hired their own scaffolding for a week and put it up themselves. Is this a viable option? Saved them a fair bit of money when repainting the outside of their house.

Thanks for the suggestion, that might be an idea for the lower floor but I need to get right to the top. I'm also hampered with it being next to the A12 and the highways agency getting involved and having a load of silly regulations to enforce.
It might be an idea to look at the possibility of erecting a tower though so thanks again for the suggestion.
I'm hoping to get on with finishing the painting but will definately need a reputable scaffolding company to provide access at the top.

Thanks for the suggestion I'll give them a ring.I certainly haven't heard of anyone on the road having problems with scaffolding but can't remember who they used,I'm the only shop on this road so I'm not sure who you mean.

Not the shop sorry but that building on the corner as you go around by the dock entrance, they had scaffolding up for ages

If you mean that big tall building it was converted from what was a drug rehab place to flats and was a pretty big job. The bottom floor is an office and the flats are accessed via a common door exiting onto Suffolk Road.Like all the other buildings on the road the council would not allow the ground floor to be residential (apart from the one next door to the old seamans mission owned by Taylor Properties)

When I first came here it was a rehab service it might have changed to offices for a while later.
I think I've now found a scaffolder, thanks very much to the kind person who rung me.

As some might have noticed the scaffolding has gone up and is in use.
The people who did it were efficient and polite and went out of their way to do exactly as asked.

I've finished the repairs and painting and the scaffolding has gone.
I was very pleased indeed with "East Coast Scaffolding " who supplied the scaffold and did exactly as promised quickly and with no mess or problems. My thanks to them and to the Lowestoft Online user who phoned and recommended them.
