New member here, found the forum on Google, currently living in London (as I have all my life), house has just been sold and moving up to Lowestoft soon! Oh, I'm 18 years old :]

Welcome to the site IrMarky. Which part of Lowestoft are you moving to?  I am sure you will love it here as I do.  I lived in London previously and have been here for 39 years now.

Erm, south i think. near to the college (no high IT courses for me sadly Sad), Currently my area is full of riot vans and on high alert from these.... scary stuff Tongue

Yes, the news is keeping very quiet about it.... but fires etc have already been reported in my area 10-15 minutes from Ealing.

It will seem very quiet and safe compared to whats going on around you now

Are you coming down with family or to work?

Thanks, I'm coming down with the family, We have been trying to move down for the past year now... House is finally sold... cant see the buyers wanting it if my area is going to get trashed tonight though.
I currently do not know anyone in Lowestoft so yea.. going be hard getting use to the area I guess, will be looking for work in IT if the area is IT friendly (haha), Coming down tomorrow to get out of London for a few days, really looking forward to the air show! Smiley

Ir dont get put off locals are a bit shy at making friends but is just a reservedness not anything nasty. It may take time but Lowestoft people are good friends when they get to know you

Yes, I agree with what funkychick has said about Lowestoft folk, they are great friends once they get to know you.  I never regret leaving London and coming here - best move I ever made.

Thanks Cheesy, yeah well I have not seen any "gangs" in Lowestoft yet.... so I'm sure its a lot better than London, all the shops are boarded up in my area and prepared for tonight, really sounds like a war scene, thanks to you all for the warm welcome though Smiley Cheesy
