I suppose that whilst the sign request that stones are not thrown at it - anything else can be! Of course, if the sign wasn’t there in the first place . . .

The picture looks like it is taken from the river, does that mean that somebody would have to be travelling down it pre-armed with stones just in case a sign appeared over the horizon?

can anybody advise a good bit of software to reduce a picture's file size? I struggle to do it with MS Paint. Is there anything where you can set the file size to 150 bytes and it reduces accordingly?

Google own Picassa which is a very useful tool. There is also ImgResizer, another free one. Look in the Tech forum as this has been covered before several times, and I believe Meryl has provided links.

Pleasure for two weeks (near Lille) and then a few days of business in Paris - the wife is not best pleased, seems think I get time to go sightseeing or something ridiculous like that. Usually just looking around dirty old warehouses.

No, warehouse automation. basically I put people out of work and replace them with machines. It is usually agency people who get the chop and if I didn't do it our competitors would. I only deal with small stuff but the company does build entire automated warehouses for often over £80m.

I suggest you resign your membership of this site PDQ!
However that reminds me of one of my visits to a large Swedish meat company some 30+ years ago and the Coldstore I visited in Stockholm which was all computerised with very little manpower used in its operation.
Better say no more or Andre will get upset, and I'm keeping this thread off-topic - naughty me!

A couple of photos taken in Sri Lanka a few years ago.
1 Reclining Buddha statue at Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka - the statue is 14 metres long (46ft)
2. This young man is, I think, a “trainee” monk (my words!) who we saw near to the Buddha statue.
