We lost against great Yarmouth too.
I think the decision for Yarmouth to wear a pink strip can only be described as courageous

Lowestoft did lose 1-0 yesterday but as with the Yarmouth result and preseason friendlies its nothing to read into, the scoreline didnt do the team justice. These matches are a chance for some trialists to have a go and a few non first teamers to stretch their legs. It was pretty laid back and some people said we still need a prominent striker as Matt Nolan and Michael Frew are still recovering from injuries. The only goal of the match came from a passback in which the keeper tried to kick it and missed and their striker latched onto the loose ball to slot into the net. It was a very encouraging performance otherwise.
One positive thing after yesterday was the great work thats been done to the pitch preseason, obviously the test will come over the winter but the ball was being passed about bobble free and the grass looked brilliant.

They did say a lot of work had gone into it, i know preseaon friendlies are nothing to go on, but its better to loose them than league games

The team appears to be gathering momentum as preseason continues.
Curtis Haynes Brown, after a successful trial with Yeovil Town (League 1) has signed a deal to play for them, whilst Chris Henderson has signed a 3 year deal, joining from Bury Town, Henderson used to play for K&P before moving to Bury.
Last Tuesday town traveled to Thurrock and drew 2-2, Forshaw and Guentchev the scorers and the previous Saturday, Town beat Enfield 3-2 the scorers were Smith and Guentchev (2)
Town are away at Leiston tomorrow (30th)

Lowestoft beat Mildenhall 4-1 yesterday, another encouraging display with Michael Frew marking his comeback from a broken ankle with a goal. Other scorers were Lubo Guentchev, Adrian Forbes and Jamie Forshaw.
ext friendly is Needham Market at home this Tuesday night and Next Saturday, AFC Sudbury are the visitors. Then the real action starts at the Meadow on august 20th when Lewes are the visitors for the first league match.

Lowestoft 7-0 Needham Market
From the
LTFC website
Lowestoft treated their fans to another goal feast as Needham Market were swept aside 7-0. The only real surprise was that it took Lowestoft 23 minutes to move ahead. By that time Joe Francis had seen two efforts go narrowly wide and hit the bar with a header.
The opening goal though had a slice of luck about it as Matt Nolan’s shot took a wicked deflection to beat Andrew Plummer in the visitors’ goal. Nolan added the second after Needham Market had been sliced open by Jamie Godbold and Michael Frew.
Lowestoft then added a further 3 goals in the five minutes leading up to the break. Firstly an Andrew Fisk 25 yard effort was only parried by the keeper and Frew pounced to net from close range. Joe Francis then scrambled the ball home from a Jamie Godbold corner and right on the stroke of half time Matt Nolan completed his hattrick.
The second half followed a similar pattern but Lowestoft had to wait until the 79th minute before adding their 6th goal with Jamie Forshaw turning in an excellent low cross from Erkan Okay. Two minutes later and a Lubo Guentchev corner was headed down and turned in to the net from close range by Forshaw to complete the scoring.
