Hiya Guys,
Here to have a rant and mabye gage all your feedback on the way my future wife has been treated by Quiz Clothing Lowestoft,
Ok I'll start at the begining (Best Place) my other half Zoe applied for employment with Quiz Clothing the consession inside Palmers Department store lowestoft and was offered a interview this week, Well the interview went very well indeed Zoe had great rapport with the two managers who were very impressed with her interview skills and questions, At the end of the interview they gave Zoe then told her they would be in touch at the end of that day for which they called her and told her that they thought she was great and would she be preppared to come in the next morning for a few hours trial, she agreed and they made the arrangements , they did mention that ZOe and one other applicant were the two in the running for the job, So Zoe goes in and completes a 2 hour trial which included basic duties like advising customers ect while there one of the managers had told her that she is a very strong applicant and even mentioned that she had told the other manager I love her and want her, Anyway the trial completed but i mention that in the morning trial the shop wasnt very busy at all and Zoe felt that she hadnt been able to show all her skill sets and personality to her full potential, So the trial finishes and Zoe even offered to come back and continue ther trial when the shop is busier for which the manager said would be possible and they would be in touch later that day to give her there feedback and see if she had been successful in her application, So as the day went on Zoe was waiting by the phone and she recieves a phone from a sales assistant to say sorry you havent got the job, Now my issue is not that she didnt get the job it is that the manageres were that gutless they didnt even call her themselves to no 1 to tell her she wasnt sucessful and no 2 to give her valuable feedback on why she wasnt so she can better herself for further opportunities, So Zoe decided to call back to speak to either of the managers who refused to accept her call but told the call arnswerer to telll Zoe they would call back by the end of the day to speak to her , guess what yep no phone call,
Personally as somebody who has employed staff I find this disgusting and that it can affect a persons moral,
Since this I have spoken to my mother who has shopped in Quiz and she said the staff there and the manager are far from professional my mother was changing in one of the changing rooms and a dippy member of staff pulled open the curtain to expose my mother in all her glory which obviously has a funny side but you dont expect the staff member not to appologise and run off giggling to other members of staff, my mother is in her sixties and recently had a spate of cancer i find this not only direspectful but also a very unprofessional way of dealing with customers,
We would love to here your feedback on this situation and also what your thoughts are on this company and do you have any horror stories to tell,
Many thanks in advance
Rant over going to enjoy the weekend and be assured that Zoe is not going to let this get her down

I appreciate Zoe wanting a job, but after this experience and what you've told us about your mother's experience would she still want to work there?

god no scorpio this isnt about wanting to be there at all this is about the way somebody get treated, If they called her now and offered her the job she would say thanks but no thanks, I think the post is abit of getting it off ours chests but also to hear other peoples experiences so to relate.
hope that explains it better lol

Actually, the current legislation means that you are entitled to know the reasons a job was not offered - and the new equality laws due soon will do even more to prevent this kind of thing.
So what you need to do is simply write to the manager, sending it recorded delivery, and stating "under current employment legislation, you are required to provide me with the reasons you used to determine I would not be suitable for employment by your company" - you can suggest 7 days if you wish.
The problem will be that they will be certain to identify a reason that is NOT the real one. Something happened, and the managers (or should we really call them supervisors, as the real managers are elsewhere) decided your wife wasn't suitable. There's no real point using the law like this, because you can't prove they're lying - and it's just not worth it. Be happy that with such slimey management, she wouldn't have liked it anyway.

It matters not, really - does it? All threads divert to some extent. Same with photos that are not EXACTLY in their defined categories. If we wanted discipline we would join the Army.
