insurance for off road vehicles

We need to be aware that we now need insurance for off road vehicles

I see this as pretty positive. As I understand it, if the police find a vehicle they were sure was being used on the rod, illegally parked in someones's driveway - up until now, there wasn't anything they could do. Their computer said there was no insurance, but unless they caught it on the rd, their hands were tied. You need a TV license, even if you don't switch it on - so why not th same rules for cars? The only people who complain are people who probably don't have insurance, so their opinions don't count. People with a car genuinely off the road can do the SORN - which has been available for years. It's just the moaners again - who don't want to waste their insurance, by actually having it!
