I Love Lowestoft!

Kathy Kirby « Posted: 21 May 2011 at 10:25 AM »

Kathy Kirby died yesterday after a short illness aged 72. The sixties star had a string of hits the most famous being Secret Love.

My dad fancied her so i sung a few lines as a tribute on the stairs this morning, everyone joined in.

That is a shame.  I remember seeing a documentary about her many years ago.  She went through some pretty tough times.  My dad also liked her, I have the 45rpm  Decca single he bought of 'Secret Love'.

My mum and dad always used to remark on her eyes and false eye lashes every time she was on TV on a saturday night. Always very big and black and one of the first to wear lip gloss. I'm not a make-up expert btw.
