Snowdrop...

No...REALLY turn it off...Close the computer down as normal....Using the start button on bottom left to 'shutdown'...Then pull the power lead out...leave for 10 minutes...Then put the power lead back in again...and then power up as usual..

No need to turn off modem or anything like that..Just completely power down the PC..as in Zero incoming power..Then  restart...(if you got a laptop with a battery...shutdown and pull the battery out...Then put it back after 10 minutes...as above if you were using a mains lead from an adaptor)

See if that cures it..

It sounds as though your game locked up possibly because of a software problem.  If you were continuously pressing keys, each key press, because it was not being 'used' by the game that was locked up, would be stored in the keyboard buffer (memory) and when the memory became full the computer would emit a bleep each time you pressed a key as a warning that the keyboard buffer was full.

Snowdrop...

No one will ever know why...

Those beeps only mean something to Microsoft...Your PC can make a load of different 'beeps'..Different note of beep..different length between beeps... that only they understand...Like a super secret 'Morse Code'...

I doubt very much if any damage was caused to anything...otherwise you wouldnt be here now..reading this..

It can mean that something is wearing out...It could mean that something disagreed with your set-up...or version of Flash and so on...

Not even Microsoft engineers know what all the beeps mean..They have to use software to tell them...

Could mean that your PC/Laptop is overheating...

As long as it's working now...I would not give it anymore thought..

If it does happen again, try and remember exactly what you were viewing/doing/playing...

Try playing the game again...

See if it does it again...

The 'beeps' are a warning that something is just simply playing up/getting old or just totally disagreeing with what your doing/happening...

Computers are weird things...they can get pi***d off...

Let me know if it does it again and we can narrow it down...

PS...

Snowdrop...

Me and Boatbuilder think alike...It could something as simple as that, as well....

( @Boatbuilder...I can tell you been around PCs long enough to understand them..Good advice)...

Paul

(Snowdrop..When a computer helpline tells you to turn a PC 'on and off'...they mean totally disconnect it from the mains or battery..They dont mean a 'warm' re-start, unless they EXACTLY tell you to do that...It their kind of revengeful geeky joke)

I think it will be meaning the pass word or letters or numbers you were given with your hub /router or whatever you use mine is a combination of letters and numbers
