The space station has been viewable every night and what a sight it was.Really bright and fairly slow moving considering.

Endeavour is the last shuttle and this should be its last flight.

Launch has been delayed to May 8th (next Sunday) at earliest. This is due to an electrical problem preventing a heater element in an aux power unit from working. Probably a loose wire;-)
Nasa have the aft access compartment hatch open and are now looking into it.

Flight of Endevour now delayed till May 10th at earliest.

This flight is planned to be the penultimate flight. Atlantis is the other shuttle and it is planned to fly in June.

If these are the last two shuttle flights, what is happening after that?   I assume they must be bringing anybody on the space atation back to earth, unless there is some other 'service' ready to take over.

The russians are going to be servicing the space station and ferrying astronauts until the USA bring their new heavy lift rocket into service.

That is still a few years away apparently.

Perhaps First Buses will step in and offer their services.
I just hope them poor Astronauts have big pockets in their space suits for carrying money, what with how much First charge for their fares here on earth, can you imagine the fare they would charge on a single return from the space station!!!!  evil6 evil6 Shocked Grin
