Couple of days ago (8th) I got 8.36Mb/s (see below!) - a “one off” I think! Ran it again and it was 5.64 - mine averages 4.5 to 5.5Mbs.

If you want to see what speeds are being achieved near to your location - go to www.thinkbroadband.com.  When the home page opens - look at top left corner and there’s a small panel: "Broadband Map”.

Click on that and when the page opens in top left corner enter your post code.  Your location map opens - then - on the left-hand side - go to the third title down: “Speed Test Results” - and click on “enable”. This shows the latest results (updated daily by that site) from your area.

So the saga continues !
I still have no land line phone but I do have Internet (quite who is the provider I am not too sure) this is due to many phone calls and more emails to the TT customer services dept's and the cancellation dep's and I did manage to get through to an English speaking woman who listened to me then put me through to another English speaking chap who after a while agreed that I had sent a notification to cancel the contract.
He then went through questions like "why did  I not use the TT home phone?" and "If I had used the TT phone the call would have come direct to the service I wanted" when I said that the phone is NOT working he told me that he knew that but I could have called from the tt phone to report the fault of the engaged tone !

SO I have been onto BT and I will be one of the numbers of people their advert says have returned to them.

Well I did return Nikkai, reluctantly, but I have been so pleased I did, everything has been smooth I get good speeds and the customers service has been very good I truely havent regretted 'returning' it is not as cheap as orange, virgin, TT  but the stress is so mush less I was in tears a number of times ~(tears of anger) with orange before  and thats all gone now, and its not that much dearer about £2.00 a weekIt took me over a year to make the decision to change ( I m very tolerent ) but I m glad I did

BT cant take the line back until the 'fault' is identified by TT who are saying that as I have canceled the priority of MY case is now LOWER than the very high priority it was on which is lower than the high priority it was on before ?
I do feel a little happier now that I have had emails form BT saying that they will endeavour to put me onto the package as soon as they can, and TT have sent a "sorry your leaving, is there anything we can do to keep you" mail which I have replied to with "Sort out the line fault and never bother me again"

I do too FC, I logged onto the TT 'my account' and it states that it is INACTIVE ?
I logged onto the BT account and it is also INACTIVE ? no bill or usage

The TT router is ON and I have Internet via that unit ? it maybe a little slow but hey ho its working but who is paying for it, I know there is going to be a price as you get nothing for nothing in this life
