I have to say that I do buy most of my fruit & veg. from super markets, & I have to agree that a lot of it is of poor quality, I do this because of convenience Just a mile away and one hour and the weeks shopping behind you.
However I purchase British if I can and unwrapped where possible. Carrots, tomatoes, Cucumber go bad so easily and are tasteless, with carrots I often buy those with the top growth still on and they are better. I do buy chicken at the super market but all my meat etc is from the local butchers, but again when you get a lb. of bacon it comes out of wrapped packs and have their share of added water.
If I get to a good green grocers they get my purchases.

I wonder how long they will be able to keep up delivering for free - unless of course they are using bicycles. Just been watching on the news about petrol/diesel prices once more reaching new record highs.

SD I m not asking you to find out I'm telling you that he does free deliveries yes hes moving in April further down into Kirkley his business has suffered because soon after he opened his son had a near fatal accident and is still in a very poor state so obviously he has not had the time or probably ability to build up his business as he was expecting too
