Brits will lose an hour of sleep when the clocks go forward one hour during the early hours of Sunday morning this weekend, officially kick-starting starting British Summer Time (BST).
At 1.00 am GMT the UK moves to 2.00 am BST meaning that people will lose an hour of sleep, but can look forward to longer days and lighter evenings.
But don't expect to see summer weather just yet as temperatures will struggle to get into double figures especially in eastern areas, according to the weekend's Met Office forecast.

Didn't someone give you a tip on here about that recently, about hitting your head on the pillow? Didn't you try it?

So - how many clocks have you got to change the time on? Err - the cooker, microwave, bedroom clock, and 2 watches. Oh, then there's the clock on 3 phones! Plus the clock in the car. Think I'll give up now! If I leave them - in about 6 months they'll be correct.
06:55 - Oh no - there's another one - lurking within the Central Heating gubbins!

"Clever things"
I'm beginning to agree - perhaps we need more radio-controlled clocks! One piece of good news - my 3 landline phones - when you change the time on one - it changes the others! Technology - when it's good it's very good . . . but when it isn't!

OK James - you've forced me to confess - I NEVER alter the time on the clock in the car! There, I've said it - and I don't care who knows . . . !

I think I may have changed the clock in my car once, maybe twice. It's just not worth the effort lol. At least it's right six months of the year

I know some who dont bother, it's normally the clock that gets done last as its forgotten about or people dont use their car on a Sunday.

I don't know what phone you have Cyber but normally, when you set your time zone ( GMT ) there is a check box you can tick to say daylight saving should be taken into account.
Have you checked that option ?

Yes, but thats on the World Clock setting which is an additional app. The main time settings dont have this option for some reason. Mind you, it runs on Symbian so not a very good smartphone!

So it wasn't as smart as you were expecting it to be. Goods not fit for purpose perhaps?
Can't beat a good old Smith's wind-up alarm clock!

I supose it is what you could call a "dumb" smartphone.
