Where do you find out about local events? « Posted: 11 March 2011 at 12:24 PM »

We are a local charity who would like to take part in local events which are going on.  We wondered if there is a way to find out what local events are coming up and who to contact to take part such as the Fish Fayre and the Oulton Broad Fete.  We always seem to find out about these things when it's too late and there doesn't seem to be a website which tells you what events are on in Lowestoft well in advance.  We would have liked to have taken part in the pancake race last week but we didn't find out about it until the day before and then it was too late to rustle up the volunteers to do it.

Hope you can give us some pointers.
