This has got to be a big topic and its time to start it. Maybe you believe its a waste of money or a great opportunity to show our country off at its best.

I think over the next year or more this topic will branch out to many more covering all the different events. Its a good happening in my opinion and i know not all agree.

I wonder what type of fireworks they'll have?....  the large blue ones are good, they look like giant Allium flowers.

Malcolm I love the Olympics and watching the different sports especially athletics but I hate the unsporting event it has become with everyone having to outdo the last country with the razzamatazz thats getting bigger and bigger with more and more money being spent It has made me lose interest in it and as our country is practically bankrupt I think it is a particularly bad time to be putting up white elephant buildings. The last few Olympics have had the Olymnpic areas still barren years afterwards - wasted money

If the Olympics was following its original concept I would be more interested I will watch it and expect I will enjoy parts of it but I think its probably too early to get excited

The International Olympic Committee obviously agree with you FC because they have now put a limit on what can be spent.

Tickets must be ordered by the 26th of this month. I am booking mine tomorrow via my sister who lives just across the river. So we have somewhere to stay.
