like trig i had similar problem with jarva updates,i did not install it but it has installed itself without permission and i have had message come up to say colour has now gone down to basic. jarva wants to update again.i do not understand,should i allow it to install again and how do i get the colour back to what it was before.

How HD video would work would most likely depend on how old your computer was. If you have integrated graphics then it would slow your computer right down, and if you have a dedicated graphics card, then it would monopolise that. And yes, you would need a more expensive web cam that does HD too for Skype. Personally I dont rate HD video online, as I believe the internet itself around here couldnt cope!

i have lots of photos in my bookmarks which i transferred from fb how do i make a folder put them in.do i put them in a file then folder.these are one off pics i do not want to loose and my bookmarks seem very full

If you've got "one off" pictures - you should, as mentioned by funky have them as actual photos and, you should have copies on another storage system. From what you've said about your computer (being "over full" etc) it sounds like "a disaster just waiting to happen". If it "crashes" it could mean that your irreplaceable pictures become irretrievable. Do something now before it's too late.
