You just post the text from the smiley's web page in place of the text you would normally type in.
This is a test using the smiley's available on here.
and it worked!!!

Hello this is a test and it's very clever.
Please complete the sentence to show your cleverness

Joe's comment reminds me of the early days of web design, where designers would put lots of sex-orientated keywords at the bottom of the page in white ink with white background. Invisible to most, this would ping the page to the top of the search engine ratings. That is, until the search engines realised what was happening! Now, that is not only a 'naughty' tactic used by amateur designers, but if the search engines find out, the website gets blacklisted and will not show up at all.
Back in 2007 when my server was hacked, every single one of my 50 odd sites were altered with every single page of every site having invisible links to dodgy viagra-selling sites! Reciprical linking meant that this actually made these sites show up high in search engines too.
EDIT:
To answer Joe....
a) policeman
b) government official
c) WDC employee
d) US President

For FC's benefit, do Quick Reply followed by Reply with quote, to see the hidden sentence in Joe's second posting.

Never knew people would do that with the idea, Dave, but now you suggest it I'm not surprised.
I was more thinking of using it as a way to hide answers to jokes or puzzles.
Yes, you can reveal the hidden text by quoting the whole message. Or you can just highlight the message as you read it.
I was interested that white works as a colour even though it wasn't listed in the list of colour options.
Haha! I like your suggested answers, but they're not what I was thinking of. Note I didn't say they're wrong.
