This is a 25acre lake at Tiger Mountain Ranch with only a small piece not iced over. Probably kept from freezing over by ducks swimming round & round in circles in that spot. I remember seeing ducks do the same on the Norfolk Broads when they froze over in the 1980s.

Let's just hope the ducks didn't go in ever-decreasing circles.

There's more room than it's looks Boatbuilder, bigger barges go under the bridge .Only ever seen one stuck ,it was one that had been converted to a home but the person who owned had cut extra windows too low and because of that could n't take on ballast ,it's still moored here .

Came across this statue of the Maharajah Duleep Singh on my visit to Thetford last week. Maharajahs are not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Thertford, I thought maybe he was the person who opened the first Indian take-away in Norfolk...but no, more about him here Duleep Singh
