Hi peeps « Posted: 09 December 2010 at 12:52 PM »

Sorry for not introducing myself earlier but thought I would put some jokes on first to let people know what I am like.

My name is Mick, as you can probably guess I am originally from Grimsby, hence GTFC.

I now live in a little village between Boston & Spalding in Lincs.

I became interested in your site when I stumbled upon it when looking for my relations from Gorleston.

I'm married to Babs and have 3 children, 6 grandchildren, latest one arrived on Sunday.

Looking forward to many interesting chats on here.

Regards,

Mick.

Hi Annie, Wink

I only left Grimsby about 11 yrs ago, don't know if you know any of it but I mainly lived in the Old Clee area.

Could never move back there as it is too rough and too hectic for me now, Angry   got used to country living. Smiley

Freeman Street?

you mean what's left of it now, really run down, shame cos there were some good shops and pubs, mind you the "Pea Bung" as we called it has reopened but don't think it will ever live up to the reputation it had.

I know it's a sad old sight even Cotties is not the same and the market is well just another rat run still Boyes and a few other still remain shame the docks are all but dead
The roads have changed so much as well Parkway and the surrounding streets all have a different look now
