When I saw the title I thought Oh No,are they building more of their horrible rabbit hutches on some more green fields somewhere?.
In some ways it has comparisons with the thrust of Snowdrops argument, the destruction of whats natural on what are often spurious grounds.
In the woods next to my old mums garden there was a badger set.It was there for a dozen years to my knowledge. One night it was dug up by men with guns and dogs, according to the police who arrived too late to stop it this was in the name of 'sport'. Now everyone can take pot shots at them because of an unproven risk of TB.
If indeed there is a God he must sometimes wonder why he bothered.

Man is God's only mistake.

It probably has nothing to do with badgers, and is just a coincidence, but the news has just come out that cases of TB in britain is at its highest level for 30 years.
I think I would tend to leave the badgers alone and let them live in peace.
I certainly hope nobody ever finds something wrong with the deer that visit my garden and decide they must be culled. They would have to go through me first.

TB is spread by spitting and coughing.Spitting now seems to be a compulsory activity amongst footballers and yobs.

Human TB and badger TB are 2 different issues. I've read in the past Badgers are to be culled in some areas because they aledgedly spead TB to cattle. Human TB is on the up, especially in inner city areras such as London, its a combination of increased resistance to antibiotics and the lack of health screening of people coming into the country from less developed countries.
