Theres also a www called suffolk surnames which is free and they have people who will look things up in various suffolk villages not loads and loads of things but if you get stuck they are very helpfull

The mormons in the states have nearly every name and person that lived in passed 100 years lodged somewhere and they are most helpful I am told

Try the Commonwealth War Graves Commision and see if you can find them there. good luck

Why not join one of the many online genealogy forums that are free. I am into genealogy and have found a lot of help and information from the folk on this one:-

Hi Carolyn , my grandfather also moved from London to Pakefield at that time, his name was Tom Jackson and he worked at the TB hospital as a stoker and I am trying to find out more about him. They lived in Church Street Pakefield and he was in WW1 in the navy. Very interesting to hear your story, very similar to mine. He came from Tooting in London and he was my mum's dad, she also had a brother Lionel.
