does anyone have any storys to tell about calling an emergency service in lowestoft?

I live near the fire station, and an elderly chap ran off the road and hit some trees, ending up on the fire stations own land. The police and ambulance came, but as the fire station isn't manned any longer it just struck me as ironic that it would have been awkward if the outcome had gone wrong. Luckily, it turned out ok.
