hiya i was wondering since this is history if any one knew about the the nelson pub that was once down victoria rd and if they know any thing that went on there. i have recently found out it was the nelson pub and that i think in 1997 i moved in to the one of the houses that was built after it was pulled down. the reason why i would like to know bout it is because some spooky things went on in the house i lived in which was 333 victoria road. things where moved around, footsteps heavy footsteps up and down the stairs. things dissppearing. i dont know much at all about it and dont really know where to look and i am hoping that some one knows about the pub i know it is going back say 13 proberlly 15 yrs but i would really like to know some sort of history of it. would the libary be good to? to try and find out about it since i cant find any fing really online.

yeah i lived there where the pub used to be i have no idea what happened in the pub but some pretty spooky things went on until we moved. have no idea on how to get information on any history it had.

thanks. did any one ever err die or any thing in there? since we heard a lot of noises and things were moved. we often heard smashing of glass but that was mainly at night.

Hi Lil. smiler people die everywhere and I'm sure the pub has had its fair share of deaths over the years but having lived here a looooong time and remembering the pub well I don't remember ever hearing about anything violent happening there, maybe someone else does, but judging by the fact that no one has popped up on here to tell you probably suggests it didnt and it was just a regular pub. Try Ivan Bunn local historian,- get to him through the library

ok then thanks just weird i know that something bad didnt happen just workmens boots going up n down the stairs and also things moved maybe every day pub life but stil carried on if you get what i mean. it was mainly at night we heard noises so i think the busiesy time for pubs i dont know just strange. but thatyou for the advice i wil go there soon and try to find out a little more. just didnt know if any one died like family or anything that owned the pub that all. thankyou any way
