Is it just me, or are the Post Previews not working?

Thanks Meryl....just trying again.
Yes it's OK now as long as you don't add BBC to post.

I don't think I have ever used a preview pane, what benefit is there in doing so? I can see and read what I write and amend my terrible spelling before posting or even modify if I have missed or put a word in the wrong place.

There are smilies and the browse facility to up load photos.

Am I missing something here? When I do a message (post) there is the attach file etc option at the bottom and the smile's and font options to the top of the text box, As I type in the text box I can see what I have done then if I add an image or file I know which one I've used as the image address is there in the upload box. Now I know what my image is like and I know what I have typed, so how would the preview assist? it would still need to be posted and would it stay in the very same format or would the board change the layout in any way. If the board does change it from the original way it looks is there a way to fix it ? (or am I delving too deep into the abyss)
OK just tried it out of curiosity and it would appear my button is not of the working kind! (just fetching preview and nowt else)

I think you must be using the preview option anyway Nikkai I always use the box at the bottom of this screen entitled uick reply then if you want to adda smiley you go into preview mode Its the preview mode that has the fonts and smileys on top of the box

When I hit reply I get a box up with the smileys and the option to add an attachment, which I have always had and even in the other forums that use this SMF format I get the very same result which is why I thought I was missing something in the translation so to speak.

That is the previw reply box Nikkai. If you look ay.t the bottom of the thread page there is a box with quick reply I think most people use that and just go into Preview reply if they want to add a smiley or a photo

I have never done posts any other way! when I click reply on a post then the box I showed comes up which is what I thought was the norm I never used the "quick reply" as it takes longer to use. (I never did get to see why its listed as a quick reply)

The "reply with quote" will work if you click on where it says "quick reply" and then click on "reply with quote" at the bottom of the post which you want to quote. That will also take you to the Preview pane. hope this helps Doesn't work for me.

Hi FC,
Thought I would test the quote facility,my method being,
1 Press key "Reply with quote" 2 Press key "Quick reply" 3 Press key "Reply with quote"
This works for me every time. I just tried sb's suggestion and, at least for this time, it worked.
Thanks, sb!!
