I cant stand cricket but because I listen to the radio a lot especially at night I have been flooded with it I fail to undrstand why 5 live have a sister programme 5 live sport when they talk about so much sport on 5 live

Anyway having said that because I havent been able to avoid it I suppose I have absorbed some of it and can feel the excitment of England doing so well against the Aussies It certainly seems that their captain Ponting was playing poorly but didnt want to let go. and from what I ve heard we are playing pretty well and I ve got to admit it s very nice to hear of England doing well internationally at something Got a bit annoyed at the media making such a big thing of Australia playing ' their first Muslim' what the heck has a mans religion got to do with his ability to play for his choosen country. I believe the Aussies are all out and rain stopped play so waiting with 'bated breath' to see how we do. Who knows I may end up enjoying it

The Aussies are not all out yet. Score was 134-4 when rain stopped play.

Not a bad start for England and we just have to hope for not too much rain or it could end in a draw.

FC   Here is a start if you want to know the rules of cricket

The Rules of Cricket

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.

Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.

When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.

Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in.

There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.

When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

Easy, isn't it???
