Thanks fc - I'd forgotten "Who Do You Think You Are" - excellent. Don't know about "watching but not watching" - all I do know is that some programmes I watch and, if I close my eyes for a few seconds - when I open them - they're already showing the next programme - and I haven't seen the end of the previous one . . .

There's a new documentary series starts on BBC1 tonight at 9-pm called Secret Britain. Looks interesting:
DOCUMENTARY: Secret Britain On: BBC 1 East (101) Date: Sunday 15th August 2010 (starting this evening) Time: 21:00 to 22:00 (1 hour long)
The Crowded South. Matt Baker and Julia Bradbury embark on an epic adventure to unlock the astonishing beauty of Secret Britain. They start in the far South West of England, and the first leg of their journey takes them all the way to Dover across some of the most crowded parts of the UK. Yet even here there are hidden corners and forgotten stories. Matt explores Britain's only desert, while Julia goes off the beaten track to discover the shady green world of Dorset's holloways. (Editor's Choice, Stereo, New Episode, Widescreen, Subtitles, Audio Described) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Excerpt taken from DigiGuide - the world's best TV guide available from http://www.getdigiguide.com/?p=1&r=171433

Already “set” that one in the PVR - proving great minds think alike!
Other possible interesting ones could be:
Tonight @ 7pm ITV - “Stephen Tompkinson’s Australian Balloon Adventure”
Thursday @ 8pm BBC2 - “Natural World” - “This spectacular film, narrated by David Attenborough, explores the wildlife of the Himalayan Mountains. It’s extraordinary what survives in the thin air and extreme cold - from the breathtaking snow leopards to insects, from golden eagles to bizarre monkeys which, in Attenborough’s words “look like plastic surgery gone wrong.”

Yes, will be watching both of those also Trigger. On second thoughts will be recording the second one as it clashes with football.

I like Louis Theroux and Come Dine with me too ( mainly because the narrator makes me chuckle)

I like Come Dine with me too, again mostly because of the narrator. Caught the last episode of the 'Down Under' ones last night and the narrator of that was clearly trying too hard to be funny and got annoying.
I find TV totally boring at the moment. I do enjoy watching Neighbours when I get home from work. I find that in that, unlike Coronation St, or Eastenders, if bad things do happen things always have a happy ending. In Corrie or Eastenders, bad things happen then people kill each other. I dont think that makes for good TV viewing, I know millions would disagree. So I like my cheerful, cheesy Neighbours. And Holby City, I can watch that if I've nothing else to do.
I also love Top Gear, or I did. I found this series to be a bit more obviously scripted and it took a bit of the fun away from it. I enjoyed Flash Forward when that was on and the Mentalist (because Simon Baker is just gorgeous!)

I don't really watch a lot of TV but I discovered recently that I can get my fill of Top Gear on Dave and Dave du Jour.
