Oh and England are playing Hungary tonight.

I shall be giving it a miss. A meaningless match...there should be no more internationals until the next competitive match. I shall be watching 'Coast' Smiley

Can't see your point, Mel.   The friendlies are opportunities to try and improve the team and to give up and coming new players the opportunity to prove (or dis-prove) themselves.

Can't see your point, Mel.

My point is we have just come from a World Cup finals, leading up to that we had had umpteen friendlies and qualifying games from which the England managment picked out our best players who as we saw performed terribly.

Englands next competitive match is the beginning of September, the managment team can wait until the end of August, get the players they want together before the game, let them train together and then let them play the match. These so called friendly matches should not be entertained unless we have failed to qualify for a tournament. At the moment these games are just a cash cow for the FA and a distraction to the players.
