Great set of pics sb-glad you took your camera with you!!!!!When I first came over here I wanted to go for a walk in the woods but after being told about rattlesnakes I decided against it.

Hearing of your rattlesnakes Meg and Eileen's bears I think I will stick to Blackheath Woods with squirrels and the occassional small deer.
Nice set of pictures Suffolkboy.

I know what you mean Mel I was watching a docu about the deadliest snakes in Ausieland and thought there is something very attractive about walking in the country here

Mel,lovely photo depicting our countryside at its best, good healthy looking stock grazing on the green marsh meadows.
Many a day I wiled away my time back of Horseshoe point catching the wonderful bream and roach and all night sessions too. Wonderful memories when the dykes were full of wildlife and the voles were plentiful with the occasional sighting of a coypu or rat who would come to visit and see what crumbs they could steal.

You can enter Blackheath Wood Caz either from Pakefield Park, Stradbroke Road by using Love Lane or from the end of Blackheath Road. But calling it a wood is a bit of an exaggeration as it is more nowadays a large copse...I am sure it was a lot bigger when I was a child though
