Perhaps WDC (as owners) are missing a trick on this one.

Seriously for H&S and hard hats its not feasible

It's owned by Anglian Water actually. It's a fascinating tunnel Nikkai, made from cast iron segments bolted together, (if you're into construction techniques) and around 9ft diameter.
They don't allow public access though as it's their highest category confined space.
In fact it's quite an exercise to access it.

No fear on the CS had to undertake CST (confined space training) in a space where SDBA can not be worn but had to be handled in and out of holes that were just large enough to get me through and with just about zero light.
It is a wonder the body can do what it is asked of in some situations.

Even though I am happy in a CS I would never undertake potholing

Anglia water uses the tunnel

It went to court years ago and the verdict was nobody is in charge of it

Nobody wants to own it
