Doggie Grooming
« Posted: 04 November 2009 at 01:43 PM »
Hi guys,
anyone recommend a dog grooming place (or mobile) in Lowestoft?
Although our mutt is short haired she is moulting like anything and I would like to get her bathed and pampered before we get knee deep in hair.
I usually bath her at home but having someone else do it will not only prevent me being soggy, but also the bathroom, landing, 5 towels and most walls.
Cheers
Stu

Haha, I know that feeling all too well. Thankfully I dont have to bath David too often but I did have to
try
over the summer after he was wee'd on by another dog. Bathroom was soaked, all the towels were soaked, the kitchen was soaked, I was soaked, dog was dry. In the end I took him outside and hosed him down, which he was none too pleased about.
Unfortuantely I cant recommend any personally but there is a mobile dog grooming salon-y thing i see about from time to time, the name of which escapes me or there's the little one on Blackheath Road. I know a couple of people that use that but dont know how reasonably priced they are.

I use the one in Blackheath Road for my medium-sized Sheltie. She is bathed, groomed, claws clipped and the price for this is £25. The only problem is that although they do a really good job on her, they keep her there for about 3 hours. They are closed all day on Mondays.

K9 Sleek & Shine on Tonning Street have been the Groomers of choice for our 4 Lhasa Apso's. They seem to love their trips to get washed and clipped.
Very quick and offer collection service if needed. Only £25 for full works.
HIGHLY RECCOMENDED (and they don't know i'm posting either)

hi all, in my opinion if a grooming parlour is busy its a good thing, it means is popular and yer dog is safe and well cared 4. ask people with nicely trimmed dogs in parks and u,ll have an answer dont go 4 price as you will get what you pay 4, and ask the groomer how long she or he has been in the grooming trade. i go to heads n tails ! sally has had many 1sts at crufts with her dogs and presented even more to a high winning standard, she judges all over the world 2. my dog is amazin every trim and he loves her! say no more eh!
