Looks like all Cartridge World stores in the UK are franchises, as the master company is based in Australia. It may be set up like Cash Converters whereby there is one master franchisee per country who then sublets smaller franchisee's. The cost is quite high - almost 30 grand for a single store - much higher than for example a Subway store franchise, although much cheaper than a McDonalds or Burgerking. There is nothing on the company website regarding a Lowestoft store, shows the nearest store to be Norwich. However that doesn't mean anything, as it looks like they don't announce anything until 'after' a store opens.
Not sure how well they will do. For over a year we had a similar shop near McDonalds, which only survived by being propped up by their Gt Yarmouth store. Eventually the owner decided to close the Lowestoft branch which was losing money. Many of these types of businesses work better online, with less overheads.

A new sandwich bar is opening in Pakefield opposite the Carlton Pub in the old Stone bake pizzas, which has been empty for some time.

anything opening is good news 728 but cant imagine that being a good place for a sandwich bar unless they are just using it as a base for outside catering

Just been into town today, and noticed poundland in the britten centre is extending into the old roseby's building which is next to it. that good to see one less empty building in the town and should help poundland stock more stuff

The side where poundland is connected to roseby's they have cleared the shelfing, so im just guessing they are extending. also there was a builders/contractor sign on the roseby's window, so they must be doing something there. the poundland does need to be bigger, everything seems to be cramped in. we will have to wait and see
