Hi Everyone,

I'm Jinksy & I've just joined LOL. What a great Site and what a wonderful source of News & Info about Lowestoft (OK I admit peeking before joining).

I live in Kirkley, right by the Seafront, and love it. I'm a retired Nurse. Personally I think the word 'retired' is misleading, because now I seem to be busier than ever! I'm into Family & Local History, walking, reading, my PC, lunching with friends & spending as much time with my family as possible.

I have a much-loved Yorkshire Terrier who is 16 years old.

I've traced my Suffolk Family History back to 18th Century &, yes, I did find a couple of skeletons in the cupboard.  Shocked

hi jinksy. we got someting in common,i retired early from nursing and live on sea front did family history and found 2 skeletons in cupboard. aswel which hospital were you at.are you local lowestoft person.yes some very nice people on this site

Really, is that a true story then Jinksy,  please come back and tell us all mick, speaking of that they found a tiny baby`s body near our peir in 1981, and yesterday they said locally that they now have D N A  and are reopening the case after all those years it`s amazing isnt it.

Not sure if it will last Jinksy but I hope so, sorry to hear you are getting more snow it did seem by the forecast that it would be a slow thaw for most of the country, maybe they got it wrong, my neice in Scotland said they are all fed up with it  now, so let`s hope that it all goes soon.  I am a summer bird really Jinksy how about you.
