Photos from The Past.

There have been many old photos posted in 'The Dark Room', the most popular place being 'Images Of Lowestoft'. I thought, having just spent some time looking at some of my old family pictures, that it might be fun to see some of your old photos. These two made me chuckle, they are of my aunt Nell and were taken by my uncle Arthur who was a keen photographer long before digital cameras were about. These two pictures always remind me of Peggy Mount, an actress from way back who many of you will remember

This one is of uncle Arthur himself in a photo he used for some Christmas cards. There were no computers to help him in those days. The next one is a favourite of mine, it really conjures up the past for me. It's of my dad and his sisters, Vi and Eileen, it was taken at Southend in a photographic studio. The donkey is no relation, but it does bear a likeness to a cousin of mine.
