Was in there a couple of weeks ago.. Oh boy has that gone down the toilet

I remember it as a very busy little local pub with a varied client base

A & B teams ladies and men for darts, pool, live music on a saturday and sunday night

highly polished brassworks and clean pipes were always on parade...

Now, it's gone to the dogs.. I did hear a rumour that it was being sold and redeveloped into flats. Unfortunatly, it needs to be Sad

I haven't been in the Oxford for about 10 years.
It's a shame, It always was a friendly, busy little pub with so much going on.
I used to remember coming out of there back in the late 80's and going into the Sun Lotus takeaway. Ahhh Them was the days..lol.

I go to the Oxfords now and again as its my brothers local. It may not be the best of pubs, but at least it is still managing to survive, unlike a lot of pubs. The way it is going pubs will be as rare as petrol stations.
